New EL syntax for calling functions in Tomcat 7.

I don’t have the time to dig deeper into this. Someone checked in a code that had this syntax <c:forEach items=”${myMap.entrySet()}”> . That code kept giving “The function entrySet must be used with a prefix when a default namespace is not specified” which is expected because the standard syntax is to use the prefix “fn:” . This seems to be a new JavaEE6 feature as it is working fine in Dev server that is running Tomcat 7. It is failing in my local on Tomcat 6. Interesting discovery.

Linksys e2000 as client bridge to 5Ghz Wireless N network with DD-WRT

Make sure you do a hard reset as soft reset still retains settings and it didn’t work for me without doing a hard reset. ┬áThere won’t be a 5ghz channel in the drop down on the Wireless->Basic Settings page. Make sure you set the channel to “auto” instead if you are bridging to a 5Ghz network. The rest of the instructions are here.
